Jan and Rohann's Wedding
Sorrento in the Park, Auckland
When the first thing I see upon my arrival at the groom's wedding preparations is a knife being used to surgically enlarge a buttonhole, I know it's going to be a good day, haha! I spent a quick and entertaining 30 minutes with the boys before heading over to the beautiful bride-to-be Jan's family home. It was a hive of activity with a ton of smiles, laughter and clear admiration for Jan. The quiet smiles and loving touches between bride and groom throughout their ceremony were so sweet and their love and respect for each other was a joy to witness.
Now to the Adam Popovic Photography Weather Report; (if you've read more than one of my wedding blogs you'll know I'm obsessed with the weather) thankfully the forecast rain never came and the bridal party photos at Cornwall Park I envisioned with gumboots and umbrellas never eventuated. The moment of the day was when Rohann picked up Jan while descending a hill... they certainly had us all holding our breath! But this was probably my favourite moment because it truly encapsulated the love and trust between these two. Picking my favourite moment was a very hard call at this family-oriented, relaxed and loving wedding, runner up moments were Jan and Rohann's first dance and then the absolutely awesome choreographed dance that followed. What a day!
