Anna-Jane and Gareth's Wedding

Kumeu Valley Estate, West Auckland

If I had to choose one word to sum up this wedding, it would be FUN.  I mean, playing foozeball and basketball with your mates the morning of getting married is pretty cool.  Once we got to Muriwai, you might expect a bride (in her stunning lace gown) to be apprehensive about an unpredictable tide but not AJ, in fact (and I quote) she actually said "This is so fun!".  When it came to heels on the sand - no problem, climb the sand dunes - no problem, clamber over a log and stand perilously close to a stream - no problem.  The whole bridal party literally took everything in their stride and we were so grateful.  Adam was already like a kid in the candy store at this iconic Kiwi location and working with such a lovely, relaxed group made it even more enjoyable.  They did not show a single glimpse of annoyance about the weather and made the most of every moment with joy.  I just need to talk about the weather a bit more (vocational habit), it was bucketing down prior to arriving at the beach and the photos don't fully show how much drizzle there was throughout, so hopefully that communicates just how awesome this bridal party was!  The natural vibe style choices were all perfect (sage green bridesmaid dresses, those flowers, blokes in khaki) and the warmth of the venue seemed to reflect the genuinely down-to-earth people AJ and Gareth are.  We laughed out loud often during their personalised ceremony, hosted by Tasha Bowen, a most entertaining celebrant who held the room so well.

Our personal favourite shots are of AJ and Gareth in the field - so beautiful!  Thank you so much for having us, wishing you all the best for a marriage as fun as your wedding day.

Julz and Adam xx
